A holistic approach
The experience we have acquired over 20 years working in Gando has allowed us to hone a distinct approach to our work. From the beginning, our practice has been underpinned by a close relationship to our partners Kéré Architecture GmbH, lending our projects a design sensibility that goes beyond the practical requirements and inspires their users. Key to the architectural design is the innovative use of local resources, drawing from traditional methods and finding adaptive applications of sustainable materials. Our design process is enriched and infused by collaborations on many levels, primarily with the people of Gando itself, who participate in every stage of a project’s realisation. Surrounding this process are several interwoven communities of local and international supporters and collaborators.
